Curses!

The problem with a good book is that it's over WAY too fast. Like this one. It's the second in a trilogy that I mentioned before called, "The Hunger Games." My brother found out that I didn't have it and over-nighted it to me. Yes, overnight. Because he knew it was just that good.

I was planning on trying to read it slowly so that I would have something to do at nights this week while Justin's in New York. But it's only Monday, and now it's done. I just couldn't stop myself. I loved every second of it, and now I'm counting down the seconds until the third book comes out.
And here are a couple other books that I recently finished. I picked this one up in the library because I liked the cover. I'm a sucker for packaging. It's historical fiction about the "re-education" in China during the 1970's. It made for an interesting read, but there were two kind of risque parts, so I don't totally recommend it to everyone.
And this is one my sister Megan told me about. It was SO interesting. It is such a fast read, and sheds so much light on why successful people are successful. Like the fact that the Canadian hockey team is made up of players whose birthdays are in Jan, Feb, or March. It's no coincidence, and the author explains why. Bazaar, but totally makes sense, and just plain fascinating.

I've been thinking about reading The Hunger Games ever since your first post on it. In fact, I brought it up at Time Out for Women while I was with the girls. Missed you terribly by the way. Now that I know the second book is out and I can make the series last longer, I think I'll go pick it up today! And The Outliers does sound interesting! Thanks!

After your first post about Hunger Games I went out and bought it. I loved it. And I bought Catching Fire the day it came out. I'm always looking for a good read.
