T minus 15 Days

Here I am, 15 days from my due date (Feb 26th) in all my gutteral glory. And yes, I'm in a public place in my sweat pants. You got a problem with that?

For whatever reason, people (strangers mostly) feel free in expressing their shock and alarm at my current size. I would venture to say that some kind of comment about my hugeness is made daily. My favorite so far was the guy standing outside of Walgreens who said to me, "Girl, you better watch the way you walk 'cause that baby 'bout to drop out."

Comments like these used to embarrass me in past pregnancies, but by the fourth time around, I honestly couldn't care less. It's actually entertaining.

So an update on me is that I've gained 38 pounds. Which is right on track because with Charlie, Dylan, and Macy I gained EXACTLY 40 pounds. Not 41 or 39... 40.

Also, my placenta is completely clear. I'm okay to go for a very boring and standard delivery, which I could not be happier about. After I had the ultrasound a few days ago, I went to see my doctor. He has been SO wonderful to me...sitting me down in his office, explaining everything to me, calling me at home with any news or updates on tests or ultrasounds. But now that I'm not considered high risk and just a boring old pregnant girl, he treats me like chopped liver. I was in and out of his office in 3.2 seconds. It made me laugh.

It's a rare night when I actually sleep the entire time. Most of the time I'm up consuming disgusting amounts of Tums, using the bathroom, or just jumping out of bed to stop the leg or foot cramp from completely crippling me.

My maternity shirts are getting too short and my one pair of maternity jeans will not stay up. I wear them ONLY out of complete necessity, and quickly replace them with sweatpants the second I walk in the door.

I feel the baby move often, but it's never a kick or a jab. He actually reminds me a lot of Dylan when I was pregnant with him. Hopefully this one will be as easy going as Dylan was that first year.

I filled my last prescription for Zofran yesterday. It was very exciting for me. The nausea comes and goes, so I take 16 mg a day. The last time I threw up was a few days ago on the morning of my ultrasound. My appt was at 8am, and I had to drink 24 oz of water an hour before getting there. So I got to work guzzling. It stayed down exactly 7.4 seconds before I threw it all up in three rapid rounds in the kitchen sink. (Didn't have enough time to make it to the bathroom.) Justin, Charlie, Dylan, and Macy were my shocked audience while they were trying to eat their breakfast. Luckily the kids were just grossed out and not scared by it.

My taste buds are way off. I went out to lunch with my friend Lisa last week and for dessert ordered an apple crepe when a Nutella crepe was an option. I know. Chocolate right there in front of me and I didn't even take advantage of it. Seriously off, right?

I keep trying to tell myself to enjoy this because it's my last time ever ever ever being pregnant, but mostly I'm excited for our little man to get here. Hurry up!

Hey, it's Kara (Sis. Morris) from the mission.
I am right there with you. My due date is the 26th also. But I do have to have a c-section (baby has some stuff going on in her brain). Hang in there.

I have been blog stocking you for a while, just too lazy to leave a comment, but hope everything goes great for you! We live in Colorado so next time you visit your in-laws you will have to let me know. Love to see you.

Good luck with the delivery.

Don't ask how I turned 15 days into 6 weeks! Maybe planting the idea of having much longer to wait in your head, will make those _14_ days fly by even faster.
